PM Modi visits Melbourne, Australia from July 8 to 10, 2026, for the Australia-India Annual Leaders’ Summit. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese praised the visit, stating, “he feels honoured to welcome his friend Prime Minister Modi to Australia,” and highlighting that the bilateral alliance is more consequential than ever for peace and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific.
The two leaders will discuss expanding cooperation across defence, trade, clean energy, critical minerals, and emerging technologies.
PM Modi will call on the Governor-General of Australia, Sam Mostyn, and participate in the India-Australia CEOs Forum in Melbourne.
PM Modi is expected to address a massive gathering at a community reception titled Melbourne Meets Modi at Marvel Stadium.
