This iconic throwback captures Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra walking the ramp at the grand music launch of Nikkhil Advani’s multi-starrer romantic anthology, “Salaam-E-Ishq” on December 2, 2006, in Mumbai. Subtitled
“A Tribute to Love”, the highly anticipated 2007 film wove together six distinct, interconnected love stories exploring relationship complexities. In the movie, Salman Khan played Rahul, who gets entangled in a fake, publicity-stunt romance with an ambitious Bollywood starlet named Kamini, portrayed by Priyanka Chopra.
To uniquely promote this grand cinematic narrative, designer Vikram Phadnis organized a moonlit-and-champagne-themed fashion show where all 12 major cast member including John Abraham, Vidya Balan, Anil Kapoor, and Juhi Chawla—walked the runway, though Salman and Priyanka’s matching black outfits completely stole the spotlight.
