NCP Supremo Sharad Pawar leads Relief for flood hit in Maharashtra
Extreme levels of flood danger were announced in at least seven districts in Maharashtra. The Nationalist Welfare Trust has decided to take immediate action to help the flood victims. The outline of the assistance to be provided by the trust was announced by NCP Supremo Sharad Pawar.
Head of State of NCP Doctors Cell Dr. Narendra Kale’s team of 250 doctors will visit the flood-hit villages and check the health of the people. Medications will be given to people with mild illnesses. So critically ill patients will be admitted to government hospitals, said Mr Pawar
Mr Pawar announced that the cost of the aid provided by the Nationalist Welfare Trust is around Rs 2.5 crore. At the district level too, party leaders and activists will help each other. Mumbai State Working President of NCP Youth Congress Nitin Deshmukh has provided five ambulances for the flood-hit area.
