In a significant political development for Maharashtra, Captain Amol Mahadik, the nephew of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) state president and Raigad MP Sunil Tatkare joined the Congress party. The induction took place at Tilak Bhavan in Mumbai under the presence of Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee president Harshwardhan Sapkal. Mahadik, who entered the party along with several key political associates, stated that the move marks a return to his family’s original political ideology.
Expressing full faith in the national leadership of Rahul Gandhi, Mahadik emphasized that only Congress can effectively steer the country in the right direction. Welcoming him into the fold, Sapkal noted that the inclusion of grassroots leaders like Mahadik significantly strengthens the party’s democratic movement across the state.
