Renowned actress Saiyami Kher boards the legendary Priyadarshan directorial “Haiwaan”, a psychological thriller. The film marks a major milestone as the master director’s 99th feature film, bringing together an ensemble cast to tell an intense David-and-Goliath story.
The plot revolves around a visually impaired martial artist who must protect a young girl from a dangerous psychopath.
Powerhouse actors Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan lead the film, sharing the big screen for the first time in 18 years. Saiyami Kher and Shriya Pilgaonkar take on pivotal, performance-driven roles alongside veteran actor Boman Irani, while a special appearance by Malayalam cinema icon Mohanlal is also confirmed.
Saiyami recently wrapped her final dubbing sessions and shared insights after viewing the nearly finished first cut. She described working under Priyadarshan’s guidance as an absolute privilege, highlighting his clear vision and storytelling expertise that has inspired generations of actors. She also praised the unique energy on set, calling the fast-paced, creative shooting schedule a highly rewarding learning experience.
Haiwaan is produced under the banners of KVN Productions and Thespian Films by Venkat K Narayana, Shailaja Desai, and Satish Fenn, with music handled by Zee Music Company. The
much-anticipated official teaser drops on August 12, 2026, kickstarting the official countdown to the film’s global release.
The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on September 11, 2026.
