The Press Club of India issued a formal statement on Thursday clarifying that it did not organize or sponsor an event on its premises where a cutout of Prime Minister Modi was worshipped and a ‘Modi Chalisa’ was recited.
According to the club, a hall inside its building was rented by an outside organization strictly to host a press conference.
As per management, the renters breached the agreed-upon terms and conditions for using the space when the devotional activity began.
Club authorities stepped in as soon as the violation occurred and forced the program to stop.
The event was organized by Rajan Singh, vice-president of the Bihar State Transgender Welfare Board, who stated the gathering was intended to announce plans for a temple dedicated to the Prime Minister.
