Maharashtra to fully fund care of retired Police Canines living with handlers

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has announced a policy ensuring the state will fully fund the lifetime care of retired police dogs, allowing them to remain with their handlers rather than being put up for adoption.

Under the new mandate, the state government will cover all food and medical expenses for these dogs following their 10-year service
