Addressing the controversy surrounding the alleged link-up between actress Trisha Krishnan and Vijay, Actress and Member of Parliament Kangana Ranaut highlighted the blatant double standards women face in the public eye. It is deeply regrettable that even when personal matters or relationships involve two individuals, the woman is single-handedly targeted with public shaming and character assassination.
She added “We must unequivocally reject this systemic tendency to attack successful and powerful women over their private lives. It is high time society rethinks its prejudices and fosters a culture of dignity, fairness, and mutual respect.”
