Acclaimed filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar recently met with Tukaram Mundhe, the current Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration Commissioner widely celebrated as the real-life inspiration behind the cinematic icon Singham.
In the midst of their interaction in Mumbai, Madhur presented a statement commending the senior officer’s unrelenting crusade against corruption and administrative irregularities. Madhur further went on to state that meeting Mundhe was an absolute honor, noting that he deeply admires the officer’s fearlessness, profound honesty, and lifelong dedication to public service.
The director further emphasized that trailblazing public servants like Mundhe serve as a true inspiration for the entire nation.
