Renowned music composer Mithoon is joining forces with veteran filmmaker Subhash Ghai for a grand live concert titled Kya Zamaana Tha: Subhash Ghai’s Musical Legacy Reimagined by Mithoon, scheduled to premiere at the Jio World Garden in Mumbai on December 11, 2026. Presented by Mukta Arts and EVA Live and powered by Mastercard, the open-air arena experience features a 70-member live orchestra breathing contemporary life into unforgettable masterpieces from legendary films like Karz, Hero, Ram Lakhan, Khalnayak, Pardes, Taal, and Yaadein.
Taking its title from the opening lines of the classic Karz track Ek Haseena Thi, the event pairs sweeping modern classical arrangements with behind-the-scenes storytelling, anecdotes, and special appearances by original actors and singers from Ghai’s cinematic universe. For Mithoon, whose family lineage includes his father Naresh Sharma and uncle Pyarelal of Laxmikant-Pyarelal, this production serves as a deeply personal homage to the golden era of Hindi music.
Tickets will be available via District by Zomato, with an exclusive Mastercard pre-sale running from October 3 to October 10, 2026, followed by general ticket sales commencing on October 10 at 1:00 PM.
