The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has officially demanded immediate and decisive action from Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis following a devastating fire at Film City in Goregaon. The blaze erupted on the set of the Colors reality show Pati Patni Aur Panga Season 2, located at Prime Focus Studio.
In a strong statement, the film body expressed deep concern over repeated safety lapses within the studio complex. AICWA is calling for a high-level inquiry into the incident to uncover the root cause of the fire. The association has also demanded the immediate registration of an FIR for criminal negligence against those responsible for safeguarding the premises.
Furthermore, AICWA has called for the immediate resignation of the Film City Managing Director, citing a failure to ensure basic fire safety protocols for workers and crew members. The association emphasized that the lives of artists and technicians cannot be compromised due to administrative oversight and lack of compliance.
