Sony Marathi’s reality quiz show, Kon Honar Crorepati, is set to usher in a landmark chapter with its grand premiere on Monday,
12 October 2026 at 9:00 PM. This special episode marks a historic moment in Indian television, bringing together Bollywood legends Madhuri Dixit and Sonali Bendre to share the screen for the very first time in their illustrious, decades-long careers.
The show introduces a refreshing new era under the tagline “Aata Khel Badalnaar” (Now, the game will change), with Madhuri Dixit making history as the first-ever female host of the Kaun Banega Crorepati franchise. Sitting across from her in the legendary hot seat is Sonali Bendre. While their parallel cinematic journeys never intersected on film, the two icons share a warm off-screen connection, famously crossing paths as parents because their sons attended school together.
Stepping into the premiere, Sonali Bendre will be playing the high-stakes game in support of the Happy Pet Foundation, showcasing her deep commitment to animal welfare.
Viewers can look forward to an evening filled with high-energy gameplay, heartfelt banter, nostalgic throwbacks, and candid stories including a hilarious behind-the-scenes memory shared by Madhuri about a director who sat on a camera trolley and wept during an emotional shot. The episode will be available for streaming simultaneously on Sony LIV.
