Former MP and BJP leader Kirit Somaiya has written to the Mumbai Police demanding actor Imran Khan’s deportation.
The demand follows Khan’s temporary detention amidst a demonstration at August Kranti Maidan. The protest centered around issues involving the
Chief Election Commissioner (CEC).
Somaiya questioned the legality of a foreign national joining local political demonstrations and urged authorities to take strict action, identifying Khan as an American citizen. As per reports from Inshorts, the actor has since been released from police custody.
