Durga Puja and Navratri means Bollywood’s festive wardrobe is out in full force. From Kajol’s colourful saris at Mumbai’s North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja to Alia Bhatt’s bright drapes and Kriti Sanon’s craft-rich Navratri looks, the stars have been making a case for dressing up, one festive outing at a time. Here’s a look at what your favourite celebs wore this season.

*Alia Bhatt brought a touch of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani to the North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja pandal with a bright pink sari featuring gold gota patti borders. She paired it with a contrasting turquoise-blue blouse with puff sleeves, gold jhumkas, stacked bangles and statement rings. A floral-adorned bun completed her Bengali-inspired look. She also participated in the aarti and served bhog at the pandal.
For another festive appearance, Alia wore a custom pink Kanjeevaram sari by Mayyur Girotra, featuring 22-carat gold foil Danka work and motifs symbolising Shakti and Shiv.

*Kajol
When it comes to Durga Puja, Kajol knows her way around a sari. At the North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja celebrations, she opted for a mustard-yellow chiffon saree with delicate zari borders, pairing it with a contrasting blue V-neck blouse. Blue glass bangles, jhumkas and a red bindi rounded off the look.
She also embraced classic festive dressing in a red sari by Anavila, featuring gold geometric patterns and floral motifs. A kundan choker, matching earrings and a neatly styled bun completed the ensemble. Other looks included a peach-orange silk sari with green and purple borders, and a dual-toned mustard-yellow and mint-green sari with scalloped gold zari detailing.

*Nysa Devgn and Orry
kept their festive dressing easy, twinning in bright yellow kurtas at the North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja pandal. Their coordinated outfits offered a relaxed alternative to the sarees and elaborate ethnic ensembles on display. Sometimes, a cheerful colour and a comfortable kurta are all you need for a festive outing.

*Sharvari Wagh brought colour to Navratri in a vibrant turquoise lehnga by Torani, paired with a richly embroidered red blouse and a colourful dupatta. Statement jewellery, colourful bangles and embroidered juttis completed the look, making it a festive combination of bold hues and traditional detailing.

*Kriti Sanon put Indian textiles in the spotlight with an antique-gold kurta featuring Kutch embroidery, mirror work, beads and cowrie-shell tassels. She paired it with purple wide-legged bottoms and a handwoven Patan Patola dupatta. A statement choker and smoky eye make-up completed the ensemble.

*Sara Ali Khan went for jewel tones in a custom purple and cobalt-blue Bandhani lehnga by Manish Malhotra. The outfit featured a backless halter-neck blouse with traditional Banjara-style mirror work, gold embroidery and a cascading back detail.

*Kangana Ranaut embraced a printed maroon lehnga by Torani, featuring intricate embroidery, playful tassels and a matching dupatta. She completed the outfit with chunky oxidised-silver jewellery, including layered necklaces, statement cuffs, armlets and ornate rings.

*Isha Ambani Piramal wore a Torani x Swadesh ensemble featuring Kalamkari and Odisha’s Pattachitra art on pure silk, depicting the Radha-Krishna Raas. Ten artisans worked for 90 days on the piece, which was finished with zardozi, French knots, moti and mirror work.

*Madhuri Dixit Nene chose a lime-green satin silk sari by Shanti Banaras for the premiere of Kon Honar Crorepati. The saree featured real zari borders with Baroque motifs, paired with a contemporary blouse with teardrop cut-outs, green-stone bangles and enamel chandelier earrings.
