Nearly three decades after enchanting audiences in V.I.P. and Time, celebrated Indian cinema stars Prabhu Deva and Simran are officially returning to the big screen together as a lead pair in the upcoming Tamil romantic entertainer Kamal Sridevi.
Produced by Soundarya Rajinikanth under the Zion Films banner in association with MRP Entertainment (led by Pasilian Nazerath and Magesh Raj Pasilian), the project has already generated massive excitement across the entertainment industry.
Written and directed by debutant filmmaker Krishnanand Kottarapattu, the film is framed as a distinct, soul-stirring love story crafted to resonate with family audiences. The ensemble cast also features Mithun Jai Shankar and Smeha in pivotal supporting roles. Music for the film is composed by GV Prakash Kumar, building high expectations for the soundtrack given the popularity of the lead pair’s previous musical collaborations.
The technical crew includes cinematographer Sharan Velayudhan, editor Raja Arumugam, production designer Rajeevan, art director Sekar, and stunt choreographer Mahesh Mathew. Having completed its filming schedule across picturesque locations in Chennai and Munnar, Kamal Sridevi is currently in its final stages of production, with the official theatrical release date to be announced by the makers soon.
