DCP Narcotics -Datta Nalawade: International Drug syndicate busted, Charas worth 50 lakhs seized in Malad- Mumbai
“Mumbai Police Anti-Narcotics cell-Kandivali, successfully destroyed an international drug syndicate originating from Nepal. Charas weighing 2.5 kgs have been seized, which is worth Rs 50,00,000 in the open market. Further raid in his home another 50 grams of Charas was recovered. Accused named Ajay Banshiprasad Yadav is a resident of Malad ” said DCP Nalawade.
The operation was headed by Police Inspector Rupesh Naik. Acting on a tip-of Mr Naik and his team found a person moving suspiciously, opp Welcome Diary, Pushpa Park rd, Malad.On searching him the unit found 2.5 kg of Charas in his hand bag. Further raid in his home the cops recovered another 50 grams.
A splinter group of this international drug syndicate originating from Nepal are held up in a jail in Motihari-Champaran-Bihar. Further investigations are on and the accused has been given police custody till 21/6/21. Accused booked under various sections of NDPS act
