BDD Chawl redevelopment begins: Sharad Pawar, CM Uddhav Thackeray, Jitendra Awhad grace the occassion

NCP Supremo Sharad Pawar said, “Rehabilitation work of BDD Chawl Redevelopment Project at Worli started today. Today is an important day for Maharashtra. Today 1st August is the day of remembrance of Lokmanya Tilak. When Tilak was arrested, the entire Girgaon was closed.”

Sharad Pawar further added, “My only request is that you don’t let this tall building get in the way, don’t sell this property. This property, its your hard work, you do not sell. Reserve more concessions for future generations. Don’t let Marathi percentage on this area fall. My request is that the Marathi voice should be seen and endured.
