DCP Narcotics Datta Nalawade: Charas worth Rs 14.45 crores originating from Kashmir seized, 4 arrested
Mumbai Police, DCP ANC – Anti NarcoticsCell Datta Nalawade informed that Charas worth Rs 14.45 crores originating from Kashmir was seized, 4 have been arrested. Case has been registered CR/36/2021 at Dahisar Police Station. All the four accused have been remanded to Police Custody, further investigations are on.
Based on a tip-off to Crime Branch Unit no 6, Inspector Ravindra Salunke and information investigated on by Crime Branch Unit 7 Inspector Manish Shridankar and Ramdas Kadam a trap was laid at Dahisar outside Dahisar Police Chowky. As per specific information Santro Car DL-10-CS-4332 was intercepted and on search, 24 kiols of Charas was recovered from Door Panel and behind Dicky panel of the Santro Car, cash Rs 45,100- was recovered along with Mobile phone worth 23,000.
The Charas originated from Srinagar, 4 people have been arrested, Jasar Jehangir Shaikh, Bandu Dagde Udanshive, Scinthia Udanshive and Clara Udanshive. Charas from J & K , Himachal Pradesh and Nepal have been hitting Mumbai Markets through Road and Rail. the Mumbai Police has launched an offensive to destroy these gangs
