Delhi has off late emerged as an haven for rape and murders. Being the Capital of the Nation such heinous crimes are committed with no fear to the long arm of law. After Nirbhaya case in 2012, it was Shraddha Walker and now Anjali. All of them heinous crimes. Sadly the Delhi Police are not able to do Anything. In the case of Anjali Delhi Police filed FIR and treated the case as accident when it was a cold-blooded murder.

Shivers goes down the spine on hearing of Anjali on scooter hit by car and dragged under for several kilometres almost for an hour. There were five men in the car. The incident happened in Kanjhawala outer Delhi.

Ironically, on the most intensely patrolled night of the year, with roughly 18,000 police and security personnel on the streets for New Year’s Eve, it took almost two hours between the first PCR call and 20-year-old Anjali Singh’s body being found. During this duration, approximately five PCR calls were made, and the body was dragged over 10 km between Sultanpuri and Kanjhawala in Outer Delhi.

News comes to the fore that the Delhi Police Personnel from Rohini district have traced the car and its owner in Sultanpuri.

FIR has been filed and all the five accused, Deepak Khanna, who drove a Gramin Sewa auto; Amit Khanna who works for a nationalised bank in Uttam Nagar; Krishan who worked at the Spanish Culture Centre at Connaught Place; Mithun a hairdresser at a salon; and Manoj Mittal a BJP functionary in Sultanpuri have been arrested. Deepak was at the wheel.

Victim Anjali was an ambitious girl and was the sole breadwinner of the family.

Meanwhile, Minister Amit Shah, has directed Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora to submit a fact-finding enquiry in connection with the incident.
