Veteran filmmaker Subhash Ghai announces new film
ropes in Jackie Shroff on his birthday
In the backdrop of the run-away hit of1983 film ‘Hero’, Veteran Filmmaker Showman Subhash Ghai has once again roped in Jackie Shroff in his new film.
The announcement was made by the veteran filmmaker on the occasion of Jackie’s birthday on Wednesday, 1 February. This was like a birthday gift to the actor.
Notably, Jackie after working in the filmmaker’s 1983 released film “Hero” as an angry young man, he also went on to work
in 2001 film ‘Yaadein’ in which he portrayed the role as father.
“Hero” was a run-away hit.
Subhash Ghai took to his
Instagram account to share the news and also posted a throwback picture of the actor.
He captioned his post as
“Once a Hero – always a Hero born as a new super Hero in film Hero 1983 and Yaadein 2001 now comes in 2023 as a heart-warming super Hero on big screen film produced by under the banner of Mukta Arts Ltd on a script like never before.
Earlier Jackie Shroff expressed gratitude to his fans saying he feels overwhelmed and grateful to have fans who organise such social interest activities. This makes you believe that there are indeed good people in this society. That, he was glad that his fans have been organising such community events and drives for his birthday over the years
He further mentioned,
“It is a gift that he will never forget for years to come. And he hopes they continue doing such good deeds for the betterment of this society.”
For those unversed, on his birthday, ‘Jagu Dada, Jackie makes a number of donations to shelter homes and the Haji Ali Dargah. He also helps the underprivileged children and families as well as senior citizens by providing them with food, ration, groceries and blankets.
