The recent episode of The Kapil Sharma Show hosted International cricketers Brett Lee and Chris Gayle. The cricketers no doubt had a wonderful time with Kapil and his crazy family.

Whereas Kapil struggled to converse with them in English, Brett Lee impressed the audience with his fluent Hindi.

After inviting the guests on the stage, Kapil shared how Chris Gayle loves partying. He once partied at his residence in Jamaica with his wife and three ex-girlfriends and they were all having a gala time. He further asked Chris over his wide smile, and whether any Toothpaste commercial approached him to which Chris replied
“They say, they run out of money. They can’t afford me these days so I am out of their reach.” Kapil struggled to understand Chris but Archana stepped in to translate.

When Kapil was unable to form sentences in English
Chris then flirts with Archana Puran Singh and tells her that he is loving the beautiful view. Archana then tells Kapil, “See, today you aren’t flirting but I am”. Kapil then shares how he is struggling with the language and that is how he fails to give a comeback. He said, “I am unable to make a sentence, otherwise there are too many things in my brain but I am unable to say.” This sent the audience and the musicians into peels of laughter.

Kapil further asked Brett Lee and Chris Gayle if they have come across dishes dedicated to their name. Many restaurants do that for Bollywood stars. Brett said, he has seen a few restaurants that have dishes in his name. No one has even asked for approval but there are such places in India. I believe that dish is surely spicy.” Kapil asks, “Do you like spicy food?” Brett replies in Hindi, “For gora firangi thoda thoda spicy.”

When Kapil asked Chris whether he likes to cook or eat. Chris reveals, “I am too hot to be in the kitchen, so I don’t cook, my cook does the business and I eat.” Archana asks him what is his favourite dish, Chris said, “I love Butter Chicken but a Jamaican dish is called Aaki and saltfish when you come to Jamaica I will cook that specially for you.” Archana shared that she can’t wait to visit Jamaica.

Kapil Sharma requests Brett Lee and Chris Gayle to do an impromptu jam for the fans. Both cricketers agree and while playing the guitar Brett reveals, “Kapil I would love to learn your song Alone.” Kapil asks, “Have you heard my song?” Brett affirms and Kapil jumps in joy that his song is famous. Chris and Brett entertain the fans with their song dedicated to Archana and Kapil.

When Archana talked about Kapil struggling with English, Kapil says, “I am enjoying this conversation. I have a live tour in the USA in July so I am practising my English with you guys.” Brett reveals, “2015 was the last time I had come to the show after that wherever I went in the world everyone that I met from Indian origin asked me about The Kapil Sharma Show and not cricket.”

Kapil asks Brett if he has any plans to collaborate with another singer from India. Brett says, “Not at the moment, but in 2006 I had the pleasure to sing that song with Asha Bhosle. I wrote that cheesy romantic song in just 18 minutes and sang it with the legendary Ashaji. Hum hai tumhara, hum tumhara hi rahunga.”

Kapil asks Brett if there has been any time when he has asked the Indian players to play easy so that he could impress his wife or girlfriend. Brett says, “There has been plenty of occasions where I have been smashing, they have also smashed me too. Sachin is truly brilliant, and we recently caught up over tea and had a great time together. It is funny, you be at breakfast and someone from the opposition team would be like ‘Do you want an extra toast, tea or coffee?’ I would say, ‘You know I am still going to bowl you on the field.’ so they try to be nice before the match. ”

Archana asked Brett Lee about his alcohol company, he shared, “It’s going well, so by the coming year we plan to launch in India. We launched in Malaysia and China, coming next to India.” Kapil asks, “Archanaji is asking for lifetime free beer.” Brett says, “Yes, free beer for you, not just one crate.”

Brett Lee and Chris Gayle believe in superstitions and habits – Kapil asks them whether they believe in superstitions and have any such practice that they follow for cricket. Brett shares, “I do believe, I always put my left foot in the shoe first. I did it one day and I got few wickets so I don’t want to upset the gods up there.” Chris affirms it to be a habit more than a superstition. Brett further shared, “We were playing against Neil McKenzie from South Africa, he is very superstitious. He went out to bat one day in the Test match and scored a 100. Someone had kept the toilet seats up that day so after that whenever he went to bat all the toilet seats had to be up.
