On Gandhi Jayanti day, 2 October, Kangana Ranaut unveiled the teaser of her most ambitious and much-anticipated film ‘Tejas’ and shared it om C (twitter).
In the film Kangana essays the role of an Indian Air Force pilot.
The short clip showcases Kangana dressed in a flying suit looking powerful in a uniform and getting ready to take-off from an Air Force station.
The makers in a tweet wrote that she is ready to take off for the love of her nation – If you touch India, she will not leave you. Trailer will be released on Indian Air Force Day, 8th October and the film ‘Tejas’ will hit the silver screen on 27th October.
Speaking of the project, Kangana revealed to the media personnel that very often, the sacrifices made by our brave women in uniform go unnoticed by the nation. Tejas is a film where she has the honour of essaying the role of one such Air Force pilot who puts country before self. She hopes that we instill a sense of patriotism and pride in the youth of today with this movie. She looks forward to the journey with Sarvesh and Ronnie on this one.
Tejas was originally scheduled for theatrical release in December 2020 and Kangana had announced the film’s release date in August 2020.
At that time around in a statement, Kangana had said that Tejas is an exhilarating story where she has the privilege of playing an air force pilot and she feels honoured to be a part of a film that celebrates these brave men & women in uniform who make immense sacrifices in the line of duty everyday.Her film celebrates the armed forces and its heroes… Excited to take this journey with Sarvesh and Ronnie Screwvala, producers.
However, the film has since been delayed several times, ir was set to release on October 20 with Ganapath. The Vikas Bahl directorial features Tiger Shroff, Kriti Sanon and Amitabh Bachchan in the lead.
Tejas will now hit the silver screen on October 27.
