Shreya Ghoshal-Nitin Mukesh’s duet on 100 years of Mukesh receives standing ovation on Indian Idol.
At the Indian Idol show dedicated to veteran singer Mukesh on the singers 100 years Nitin Mukesh and Shreya Ghoshal rendered the song
“Dil Ki Nazar Se” from Anari starring Raj Kapoor and Nutan. The song was originally crooned by Mukesh and Lata Mangeshkar.
At the end of the song ended Judge Kumar Sanu gave them a standing ovation along with other contestants on the show. Sherya touched Nitin Mukesh’s feet for blessings.
Mukesh, no doubt, was recognised as one of the most iconic singers of India. Born on July 22, 1923 he passed away at 53.
Notably, Mukesh was the playback voice of actors Raj Kapoor, Manoj Kumar, Feroz Khan, Sunil Dutt and Dilip Kumar.
Indian Idol, now in its 14th season, sees Vishal Dadlani, Kumar Sanu and Shreya Ghoshal as judges. The show began airing from October this year. If no exaggeration, the singers at the show are gifted with budding talents and they sing flawlessly.
