Reportedly, since late 2022, Mumbai Police had provided
‘Y’ plus security to the actor after he received death threats from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi
Last November, the security arrangements were reviewed after a fresh threat was issued to the superstar.
Earlier this month, following intel from their sources, the cops stepped up their protection measures. As per a source, following the Mumbai Police’s provision of security to Salman in light of the death threats, the police cover has now been extended to the actor’s family
This police cover includes Khan’s brother-in-law Aayush Sharma, set to kick off promotions for his upcoming film, Ruslaan.
It learnt that the actor will be accompanied by police personnel for the media events lined up this month.
A source adds, that since Aayush will be out for promotion of his action thriller, he has been assigned cops for his protection. The actor will also travel in Salman’s bulletproof vehicle. One may recall that last year, baijan had invested in a new bulletproof vehicle.
In the social media in November 2023, efforts were underway to track the internet protocol address associated with the posts.
The superstar has also been authorised to carry a personal weapon.
