Anurag Kashyap hints of improbability to make a film with SRK 
In his recent media interaction, Anurag Kashyap opened about his apprehension about working with Shah Rukh Khan. He also revealed how he lost his money in his latest film Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat.
Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap recently opened up at length on why he never worked with
Shah Rukh Khan and blamed the fanbases that big stars have for not collaborating with the actors.
When he was asked why he had not worked with King Khan regardless having huge admiration for the superstar, he articulated that his favorite and also Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa. In his initial stage, SRK worked with everybody. But it is impossible to make a film with Shah Rukh Khan now. He aspired it once and he likes him a lot, but very scared of fans now.
In this day and age of social media, he is terrified by the fanbases big stars have. Actors get typecast because of fans, and the fans want the same things from them again and again. If that doesn’t happen fans reject it, so even actors get apprehensive about trying new things.”
The filmmaker further added that he is scared because he will make the film he wants to and not just cater to the fans. The repercussions or consequences of what happens then can cost you a lot. So it’s not in his capacity to cater to SRK’s aura or enigma. If his film Fan would have worked, he could have said that he too has the courage to work with him.

Speaking about the film which turned out to be the biggest disaster of his life he shared, that the biggest disaster of his life is Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat, he lost all his money also. Everybody thought it was foolhardy to do that, but at least he got to do his thing. That failure he can own. He takes total ownership of that as he feels it’s more satisfying because he has no regrets.
Kashyap also spoke about the cancel culture and shared that he has gotten used to with the concept now.
