Choreographer-director Ahmad Khan recalled on his memories as a child-artist on the sets of ‘Mr India’.

Sridevi emerged as one of the most loved actress of Hindi cinema with a number of memorable films. Because of her unparalleled on-screen presence, talent and beauty, fans immensely miss the actress after she passed away.

Her memories through her work continue to remain. Not to mention, people who have worked with her continue to talk about the actress fondly.

In a recent interview, choreographer-turned-directed Ahmed Khan has spoke about the actress. For those unversed Ahmad Khan was a child artiste in ‘Mr India’ featuring Anil Kapoor and Sridevi.

Reminiscing memories with her, Ahmed amidst an interview revealed that she wanted to learn break-dancing. So much so, that she bribed him. Elaborating about it Ahmed said, that they were shooting a hospital scene that followed a bomb blast where one of the characters dies. It was a serious scene. She (Sridevi) took them to one of the doctor’s rooms and offered them ice cream. She said she isn’t giving this because she liked him, he had to teach het break-dancing. So his team taught her some moves. That’s how they befriended.
He also added that even as a child-artist, he could see that Sridevi was a reserved person but completely transformed herself into the character when the camera was on.

As everyone knows, Sridevi was reserved. She would observe that off-camera she would be reserved but once the camera rolled, she became Seema, her character in the film, and would snap out of it once the director said cut. It was like Michael Jackson, who spoke softly but exploded on stage. They would think how did she do this? She was mahaan (great). She wasn’t friendly with them nitially, but that transformed.

On the workfront Ahmed is directing ‘Welcome to the Jungle’, the third installment of ‘Welcome’ featuring Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Arshad Warsi, Suniel Shetty, Johnny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor.
