Heavy rains on Sunday disrupt rail services between Kasara and Titwala stations

While Mumbaikars were reeling under humid conditions, it came as a big relief when heavy rain lashed Mumbai city and suburbs and disrupted services on the lifeline of Mumbai, the suburban local trains.

Local train services between Kasara and Titwala in Thane district were suspended owing to heavy rains and a tree fall on Sunday. Restoration efforts are underway to clear the tracks and resume services.

Reportedly, tree fall blocked tracks near Vashind, causing suspension of both up and down trains.
