Khatija Rahman recalls her father AR Rahman’s comments after listening to her first song

Just as star kids follow the footsteps of their celebrity parents and foray into acting, likewise, Khatija Rahman belonging to composers from the home of Oscar winner AR Rahman, has followed the footsteps of her grandfather
RK Sekhar, father AR Rahman, aunts AR Raihana and Ishrath, cousins GV Prakash Kumar and AH Kaashif, and brother AR Ameen. Khatija makes her debut with maverick filmmaker Halitha Shameem’s Minmini.

Meeting the media personnel afore the audio launch of her first film, Khatija articulated that she sent appa (AR Rahman) the first song (Iruperum) and after hearing it, he said it was refreshing and calming. He advised her to find her own sound, and assured that he would always be there for her.
