The news came after Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) President BN Tiwari claimed producer Vashu Bhagnani owes over Rs 65 lakh to crew members.

Akshay Kumar had also contributed Rs 3 crore for the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya and also shared a video urging others to do the same. He said, “Its our turn now.”

Reacting to Akshay’s whopping donation, his wife and author Twinkle Khanna said on X, “When she sked him if he was sure as it was such a massive amount and we need to liquidate funds, he just said, he had nothing when he started and now that he is in this position, how can he hold back from doing whatever he can for those who have nothing?’

Akshay Kumar is all set for the release of his film Khel Khel Mein, set to clash with Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor-starrer Stree 2 on Independence Day. The movie, also features Vaani Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu, Ammy Virk and Fardeen Khan. The release will mark the actor’s third release of the year after Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Sarfira.
