In the backdrop of the year 2024 coming to an end, FHF waxes nostalgic at an incredible day when Dadasaheb Phalke Award-winner and legendary actress Waheeda Rehman donated her personal memorabilia to FHF for preservation.

It’s a treasure trove of precious material including the saree she wore to the C.I.D. premiere, her photo albums and photographs and lobby cards from milestone films like Kaagaz Ke Phool, Chaudvin Ka Chand, Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam, C.I.D., Bees Saal Bad and Baat Ek Raat Ki.

Waheeda Rehman, credited as one of the most revered leading ladies of Indian cinema, is acknowledged for her ageless beauty and grace. In an illustrious career spanning over six decades, she has worked with the country’s greatest directors including Satyajit Ray, Raj Kapoor, Guru Dutt and Vijay Anand and her incredible performance performances in landmark films like Guru Dutt’s “Pyaasa” and “Kaagaz Ke Phool” and Vijay Anand’s “Guide” are forever etched on the pages of cinema history.

It is a true honour and privilege for the FHF she has chosen them Heritage Foundation as the custodians of her personal collection to be preserved for posterity. FHF would also like to thank her children, Sohail Rekhi and Kashvi Rekhi, for supporting and enabling the donation.
