Aditya Dhar had initial doubts as he believed the song “Shararat” in his 2025/2026 spy thriller Dhurandhar, might feel like an “item number’disconnected from the gritty plot as reported by chorepgrapher Vijay Ganguly.
He wasn’t alao convinced over adding a lip-sync dance track to the film.
Instead of a single, conventional star-driven number (which was originally considered with Tamannaah Bhatia), Dhar changed his approach to make the song integrate with the plot.
The track “Shararat,” sung by Ayesha Khan and Krystle D’Souza. The song featured in a key wedding scene, became a chartbuster, with Dhar later praising Ganguly for his “storyteller” approach.
The song has turned out to be a massive hit and one of Aditya’s favorite parts of the movie.
