Inspired by Prime Minister Modi’s call for fuel conservation, banker and social activist Amruta Fadnavis has adopted cycling for her local commutes in Mumbai. She stated that using a bicycle for trips within a 5-7 kilometer radius is her personal contribution to saving petrol and diesel.
She utilizes the cycle to run errands and attend work within a 5-7 km radius of her residence.Social Message: In sharing her Instagram Post, she highlighted that simple choices are often the catalyst for massive, meaningful changes in the nation.
The initiative promotes not only reduced carbon emissions but also a healthier, more active lifestyle.
This cycling endeavor follows a series of fuel-conservation measures adopted by Maharashtra leadership in response to the Prime Minister’s austerity appeal.Chief Minister’s Ride: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis previously made headlines by swapping his standard 14-car Z-plus security convoy for a Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycle to ride to the Vidhan Bhavan.
Demonstrating the “nation first” mindset, Amruta Fadnavis also declined an invitation to walk the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival to avoid unnecessary international travel and state expenses.
