Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed his gratitude to Israel for its historic initiative to install a grand statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in a major Israeli city. The announcement was made on Shivrajyabhishek Din by Israel’s Consul General in Mumbai, Yaniv Revach, to celebrate the growing cultural ties between the two nations.
To honor the shared historical struggles and cultural ties between India and Israel, Consul General Yaniv Revach has announced plans to erect a grand statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Israel. Revach sought the guidance and support of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who assured the Israeli Consulate of Maharashtra of full expert cooperation.
As part of this cultural exchange, Israel also plans to translate books about the warrior king into Hebrew to boost awareness among its citizens.
These international tributes arrive on the heels of another major milestone – on the anniversary of Shivaji Maharaj’s coronation (Shivrajyabhishek Din),
CM Fadnavis inaugurated a 20-foot bronze equestrian statue of the Maratha king at the Navi Mumbai International Airport.
