Kishore proposed almost instantly when they first met, but Leena initially rejected the idea as a typical “Leena’s father initially objected to the marriage due to Kishore’s three previous marriages. Kishore ultimately won him over by visiting the family and singing the song “Nafrat Karne Walon Ke Seene Mein Pyaar Bhari They married in 1980 and stayed together until Kishore’s sudden passing in 1987.
