Prime Minister Modi recently gifted a rare collector’s vinyl of the landmark 1996 “Colonial Cousins
album to Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese amidst his state visit. The iconic fusion record was chosen as a diplomatic gesture, especially honoring Albanese’s well-known passion for collecting vinyl records.
Following the gesture, the artists behind the album singers Hariharan and Leslee Lewis
shared their deep appreciation for their music being used to represent India’s cultural legacy.
