Shifting gears after back-to-back comedies, Jacqueline Fernandez has officially signed on to headline an upcoming, untitled supernatural thriller. Moving away from creature features and conventional tropes, this highly anticipated project is a pure, atmospheric horror film heavily inspired by the subtle, eerie mood of Raj Khosla’s 1964 classic
“Woh Kaun Thi”?.
Produced on a grand scale by Khyati Madaan under the banner of Not Out Entertainment, the film is set against the backdrop of a small town in North India. The narrative is deeply rooted in a real-world supernatural phenomenon. Jacqueline steps into the role of a modern working woman caught in a web of chilling, inexplicable events. Unlike her previous stint in the horror-comedy Bhoot Police, this film marks her first complete, out-and-out venture into traditional gothic horror.
The production team has crafted the project as a complete theatrical entertainer. It masterfully blends psychological dread, intense emotional beats, atmospheric music, and high-octane action sequences. While two male co-stars have joined the cast, the director and remaining ensemble are being closely guarded for a formal reveal. To deliver a gripping cinematic experience, the cast has completed intensive acting workshops. Principal photography is already underway following the successful filming of a preliminary promotional teaser and song.
