Kejriwal demands 100% Ethanol Mandate to Slash Fuel Costs

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday 2 August, escalated his green energy campaign by demanding the central government immediately mandate a transition from E20 fuel to 100% pure ethanol compliance across the national capital. Speaking at a high-level public address, Kejriwal declared that the current 20% ethanol blending target is a half-measure that fails to tackle Delhi’s dual crises of toxic air pollution and skyrocketing petrol prices.

The AAP leader announced that his party is pushing for aggressive subsidies for manufacturers who retrofit existing vehicles and produce dedicated ethanol engines. He argued that aggressively raising the stakes to a complete biofuel transition is the only definitive way to break the stranglehold of fossil fuel dependence, lower commuter expenses, and provide direct financial relief to farmers supplying the raw agricultural feedstocks.
