Amidst addressing the Nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort on 15 August marking India’s 80th Independence Day with a powerful vision for an inclusive, secure, and forward-looking India, the Prime Minister focused heavily on empowering Gen Z, outlining the strategic ‘Saptdhara’ roadmap for comprehensive national development, and issuing a stern warning against ‘intellectual’ Naxalism that seeks to destabilize the country from within.
The Prime Minister hailed India’s youth, particularly Gen Z, as the primary architects of Viksit Bharat (Developed India). He emphasized that the government is actively tailoring policies to align with the aspirations of this digital-first generation. By expanding digital infrastructure, fostering a world-class startup ecosystem, and democratizing access to education and sports, the administration is ensuring that youth energy is channeled into national growth. The Prime Minister urged young Indians to lead global innovations, transforming India from a consumer of technology into its foremost creator.
The Prime Minister also unvield the ‘Saptdhara’ (Seven Streams) roadmap, a holistic framework designed to guide India’s developmental trajectory over the next decade. The seven core streams focus on:
Enhancing manufacturing and global supply chain integration. Infrastructure Revolution: Modernizing transit, energy, and digital grids.Inclusive Social Welfare: Ensuring health, housing, and nutrition for the marginalized.Youth and Women Empowerment: Unlocking economic independence and leadership roles.Agricultural Modernization: Deploying tech-driven smart farming solutions. Accelerating renewable energy to combat climate change. Revitalizing historical heritage alongside technological progress.Countering ‘Dimaagi’ NaxalismIn a decisive stance on national security, Prime Minister drew a sharp line against ‘dimaagi’ Naxalism. He warned against sophisticated, intellectual narratives engineered to create deep societal fractures, mislead the youth, and disrupt institutional trust. He also emphasized that while ideological diversity is a strength, calculated internal subversion under the guise of intellectualism poses a severe threat to national unity. He called upon citizens to remain vigilant and united against divisive rhetoric that undermines India’s developmental momentum.
Concluding his address, the Prime Minister reiterated that the path to becoming a developed nation relies on collective resolve (Jan Bhagidari). He called upon all Indians to align with the Saptdhara roadmap, embrace innovation, and protect the nation’s social fabric from internal and external threats.
