The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced that Jemimah Rodrigues suffered the injury on August 3 amidst the hundred tournament. Following an assessment by the BCCI Medical Team at the Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru, the high-grade tear was confirmed, forcing her to sidelines for both major upcoming international events. The Women’s Selection Committee named Pratika Rawal to step into the squad for the Asia Cup, which takes place in Dubai from August 28 to September 13, before the team travels for the Asian Games in Japan.
