Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis met with Prime Minister Modi on Monday, August 17, 2026, to discuss key development initiatives and secure deeper central backing for the state’s major infrastructure projects.
The high-level meeting focused on a comprehensive review of joint Centre-State projects. Chief Minister Fadnavis briefed the Prime Minister on the latest progress of numerous developmental works currently underway across Maharashtra. During the dialogue, Fadnavis requested expanded financial and strategic support from the Government of India to expedite these critical initiatives.
Expressing his appreciation after the session, the Chief Minister described the meeting as a deeply motivating experience that provided fresh momentum for the state’s administrative goals.
“As always, meeting PM Modi was motivating and it invoked positive energy,” Fadnavis stated, noting his gratitude for the Prime Minister’s consistent policy guidance and strong support for Maharashtra’s growth.
