Ahead of the worldwide theatrical release of Haiwaan on September 11, Akshay Kumar released a special video clip highlighting the legendary late actor Asrani in his final on-screen performance.
The poignant clip features Asrani delivering his signature comic timing during a lighthearted exchange with actor Sharib Hashmi. When asked his character’s name (“Hussain”) and if there is anything before or after it, Asrani’s character quips with classic wit: “Peeche hawaldaar hai aur aage aap hain.”
Reflecting on the emotional moment of watching the veteran comedy icon give his final take just days before his passing in October 2025 at age 84, Akshay Kumar shared a moving message on social media: “his good fortune that he got to work with this legend and see him give his last ever shot in Haiwaan.
