Shinde delivers festive joy to parched farms

In a major festive relief, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced that drought-hit farmers across Maharashtra will receive their Diwali ration kits delivered directly to their doorsteps. The initiative aims to support families facing severe agricultural distress, ensuring they can celebrate the festival without financial strain. Local administration teams have been deployed to coordinate seamless delivery to the remotest villages before the celebrations begin.

The special package includes essential commodities like oil, rawa, sugar, and pulses to ensure every household can prepare traditional festive meals. Chief Minister Shinde emphasized that the state stands firmly with the farming community during this challenging period and will ensure no eligible family is left behind. District collectors have been instructed to monitor the distribution daily and eliminate any bureaucratic delays. The state government is mobilizing local self-help groups and transport networks to expedite the logistics.

This direct-to-doorstep delivery model is designed to save farmers the hassle and cost of traveling to distribution centers during the peak festive rush.
