Rajnath Singh calls for unified action against terror at SCO meet

In a decisive address at the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation conclave, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has urged member nations to forge a united front to completely dismantle the underlying network of terrorism. He emphasized that combating this menace requires targeting not just individual actors, but the entire infrastructure that sustains them, including financial pipelines, safe havens, and ideological support systems. Singh reiterated that regional security and economic prosperity are deeply intertwined, meaning that sustainable growth cannot be achieved without completely neutralizing cross-border security threats.

By positioning collective responsibility as the cornerstone of regional stability, the Defence Minister called for immediate, synchronized counter-terrorism frameworks and deeper intelligence sharing among SCO partners to ensure long-term peace across member states.
