Maharashtra launches ruthless crackdown on Pal Uber and RAPIDO over security threats

The Maharashtra Transport Department has declared war on non-compliant app-based transport giants, ordering an immediate, uncompromising sweep of all drivers operating under Ola, Uber, and Rapido. Following a high-stakes Anti-Terrorism Squad operation that exposed severe vulnerability gaps within ride-hailing networks, Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik has authorized aggressive background checks and document audits nationwide.

The state will no longer tolerate corporate negligence that puts public safety at risk. Law enforcement and RTO squads have been deployed with strict mandates to seize unauthorized vehicles, initiate immediate criminal proceedings against non-compliant drivers, and hold the tech giants directly accountable.

This aggressive enforcement sweep serves as a final ultimatum to the aggregators: clean up your fleets instantly or face total legal termination and criminal prosecution under a restructured, iron-clad transport law.
