For those unversed, Anil Jaisinghani, who has courted arrest reportedly is embroiled in as much as 17 cases registered against him. Thrice in betting cases and is wanted in over seven cases in five states
and has been evading the police for around eight years.

Aniksha had allegedly offered money to Amruta Fadnavis to intervene and get her father off the hook in a criminal case and had later, allegedly begun blackmailing her.

On Thursday, 16 March, Maharashtra politics was disconcerted as Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis claimed that a notorious cricket bookie, Anil Jaisinghani, and his fashion-designer daughter, Aniksha, attempted to entrap his wife Amruta in a bribery case.

Mumbai Police arrested Aniksha from her residence at Ulhasnagar based on a complaint filed by Amruta Fadnavis.
