Shinde-led Shiv Sena appoints Gajananan Kirtikar as Parliamentary Party Leader Sanjay Raut ousted
In a new development, Shiv Sena-led Eknath Shinde government ousted Sanjay Raut
as Parliamentary Leader.
Now it will be Gajanan Kirtikar who has has been appointed as the new Parliamentary party leader. Earlier he was associated with Sena faction after the latter split Shiv Sena, which was being led by Uddhav Thackeray. Thirteen Members of Parliament from the party had jumped over to Shinde’s side.
Meanwhile, Sanjay Raut, Gajanan Kirtikar and Ramdas kadam visited Matoshree on Wednesday for a meeting with Uddhav Thackeray to decide on Support to Govt
On his new role, Kirtikar made it known that Our Lok Sabha group leader Rahul Shewale has given a letter to Speaker Om Birla and union parliamentary affairs minister Pralhad Joshi that he has been chosen (as party’s parliamentary leader) in a group of meeting of MPs and also in the one-day meeting of the party.
He further added that we are a part of the National Democratic Alliance while Raut is pro United Progressive Alliance. He can’t take a pro NDA stand. We will support the policies of NDA.
