Singer Jasleen was bound to generations by music
Meet Singer-musician Jasleen Royal. She shares screen space with Babil Khan in her latest song Dastoor.
Not many know that the twosome who associated for the first time on the music video, share an exceptional history, thanks goes to Babil’s actor-father, the late Irrfan Khan. Jasleen hadn’t moved to Mumbai at that time.
It so happened that Irrfan liked one of her songs, ‘Panchhi hojavan’ and he called her because he was having a musical night. She met Babil there. Both Irrfan and Babil said, ‘that they love her songs.’
It felt so nice to receive appreciation for her art from the legend. He was really warm,” she smiled.
Jasleen further added that she had a fantastic time shooting for Dastoor with Babil. Although he might be relatively new in front of the camera, the singer had no doubt about his command over the craft.
She shared that he is a skilled actor, and has such aura that he lights up the set. She loved working with him.
On the sets of Dastoor, Babil told her that Baba used to keep listening to her songs in his library.’
She feels it a very precious compliment.
