For actress Amruta Khanvilkar watching Madhuri Dixit’s movies was a different experience and to her, Madhuri meant everything. She credits Madhuri’s performance in ‘Chandrmukhi’ was truly rocking and there was something just so attractive about her in everything that she did, her on-screen grace and presence. Amruta always loved her more than the character Madhuri essayed in the film

Amruta recalls that she relates to the dance queen as an artist because the way she illuminates the screen, it’s something that nobody can accomplish, and as a Maharashtrian, she truly connects with her. She is a ray of hope for millions of girls that if she can do it, every other Marathi mulgi can.

Reminiscing Madhuri’s earlier h memories Amruta says that she fell in love with dance because of her. When she saw her do those steps in Akhiyaan Milaoon Kabhi’, it just blew her away and she knew she had to copy her and do something she was doing. She (Amruta).got this huge order from inside to do something like that, and that is when dance, kind of took birth in her and emerged as an authority in dance forms.

Amruta, a contestant on the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10′ says that she participated only to perform in front of Madhuri and that there no further options and no agenda her to take up.It was like life was coming back to a full circle from being a fan to knowing her personally.

Her debut performance was a lavani and she still remembers the Rs 100 she gave Amruta She just couldn’t control her tears.

Sharing a life lesson she learnt from Madhuri, Amruta says that no matter what and where you are, you should really treat people with a lot of respect and kindness. She (Madhuri) does that regardless being a superstar. That is something to be learnt and of course, working on your art. She is the Madhuri Dixit and yet she does riaz.
