Ektaa Kapoor opens up on ‘The Sabarmati Report’
Even as the Vikrant Massey starrer ‘The Sabarmati Report’ Getz set to storm the cinema houses on November 15, Ektaa Kapoor, one of the producers, Ektaa recently recounted that she did not seek any kind of help from anyone whatsoever while making the movie and has no collaboration with any wing or wings.
In the midst the trailer launch event Ektaa Kapoor also emphasised that she is not trying to attack any specific religion through the movie. Focusing on the objective of bringing out the truth behind the Godhra incident, the producer said that she is secular and respects all religions.
The release of ‘The Sabarmati Report’ has been the talk of the town as it coincides with the assembly elections in Maharashtra and Ektaa was clear-cut when she said, “she is a Hindu, which means she is secular. She will never comment on any religion because being a Hindu.
Coming to censorship, as per Ektaa, she is not scared of anyone and stands firm on the fact that ‘The Sabarmati Report’ is made to bring out the real truth. Ektaa also said amidst the meet that the movie tries to bring out the unknown facts about the tragic incident and the genesis of it.
With ‘The Sabarmati Report’, the makers are trying to bring out a different perspective of the February, 27, 2002, Godhra train incident. The accident happened near the Godhra railway station situated in Gujarat at the time when Narendra Modi was the chief minister of the state.
