A shocked and upset Saif’s mother Sharmila Tagore and Soha Ali Khan reached Lilavati Hospital to see Saif admitted for knife attack injury treatment.
Later, Saif’s children, Ibrahim Ali Khan and Sara Ali Khan, also arrived to check on him.
Taking to her Instagram Kareena Kapoor shared a statement that it has been an incredibly challenging day for the family, and are still trying to process the events that have unfolded. As they navigate this difficult time, she respectfully and humbly requests that the media and paparazzi refrain from the relentless speculation and coverage and read the statement.
Even as they appreciate the concern and support, the constant scrutiny and attention are not only overwhelming but also pose a significant risk to our safety. It is her kind request that the media respect their boundaries and give them the space they need to heal and cope as a family. She would like to thank all in advance for the understanding and cooperation amidst this sensitive time.
The incident at Saif’s residence has raised concerns about safety in Mumbai and has left the actor’s fans and colleagues from the film fraternity deeply worried.
Notwithstanding the tight security, an intruder allegedly confronted the actor’s maid at his residence in the Satguru Sharan building in Bandra, north west Mumbai.
When Saif attempted to intervene, it escalated into a violent altercation, resulting in the actor sustaining six stab wounds.
He was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent surgery under the supervision of a team of doctors.
